Gastronomic congress San Sebastian Gastronomika

San Sebastian Gastronomika and three congresses in one:

Alta Cocina, Off and Popular. That of Alta Cocina with the best and most wished chefs of the planet with a day dedicated to the infinite kitchens of Japan.

On Monday, the 23rd of November there will be a sakes tasting to prove one of the most emblematic products of Japan.

The Off that will allow to see the present and the future of the hotel trade, the restoration, the wine, the broiler, the pintxos and the new batch of chefs Basques, the creators of the future. Inside the Congress Off the Championship of Pintxos de Euskal Herria is celebrated on November 23.

The awards delivery will be Tuesday, the 25th of November at midday. The same day also there will be a tasting Contest "Wine Rally - Donosti 09".

A contest for tasting qualifying rounds blindly of red wines and Spanish targets, directed to professionals of the sector and open sea to the public.

The participants will have to demonstrate his tasting aptitudes opposite to a jury composed by recognized names of the world of the wine and the restoration.

The Popular one assined to all the publics with tastings, spectacles, gastronomic routes, popular contests, gastronomic movies, you chat.

From 21 on November 29 some bars and restaurants of the quarter of Gros de Donostia-San will offer pintxos special at limited prices.

These are the adherent establishments: Andramari, The Press, Nobleman 56, Mil Catas, Narru, Aloņa Berri and Bergara. Hilario Arbelaitz, Karlos Arguiņano, Juan Mari Arzak, Martin Berasategi, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Pedro Subijana shape the technical committee of the congress.

Part of the Basque cooks will be informed in the congress by cooks like Ferran Adriā, Carme Ruscalleda, Quique Dacosta, Joan Roca, Dani Garcia, Heston Blumenthal, René Redzepi, Hans Valimaki y Wylie Dufresne, between others.

The inaugural dinner of November 22 will run in charge of the Basque cooks Hilario Arbelaitz, Karlos Arguiņano, Juan Mari Arzak, Martin Berasategi, Andoni Luis Aduriz and Pedro Subijana.

Each of the cooks will contribute a plate to the dinner.

Space Market Es a space destined for the fair that is provided with 5.000 m2 divided in three plants.

The fair will be provided with 150 exhibitors, five Japanese and 1.200 registered marks.

The Space Market is going to be opened the days that the congress lasts from ten o'clock in the morning until ten o'clock in the night.
